Riverdale Manor opened in April 2006 to be the first-class wedding facility in Central Pennsylvania. It provides an easy to reach wedding destination for local, Philadelphia and Baltimore families. Riverdale Manor’s beautiful and serene location at the edge of both vibrant Lancaster City and quiet Lancaster County is the setting for hundreds of weddings every year. Each of these weddings is unique, personal and fun.
The 1850’s farmhouse provides a quaint and comfortable location for brides, grooms and their families to gather before the ceremony, or it can be part of intimate cocktail party. The ballroom, with its reclaimed hardwood floors, rustic timbers and soaring ceilings, suggests the history of the barn that once stood here – while being a fully modern climate controlled facility. The decks, pavilion and grounds are beautiful flexible spaces for to use as you would like. Be sure to look at the pictures in the Gallery to get a glimpse of the beauty of this four season venue.
Riverdale Manor is the home of Thyme & Seasons Catering which opened in Lancaster, PA in 1993. The owners of both businesses, John and Maureen Raezer, took their years of experience highlighted by Maureen’s tenure as Catering Director at the Smithsonian in Washington and as Sales Director at major facilities in Baltimore and John’s work as the General Manager of an Inner Harbor nightclub and as controller of a major catering operation in Baltimore. They created a catering operation that has maintained an excellent reputation as a Lancaster caterer that provides consistent, high quality food and provides personal attention to their clients and to their guests. Their goal is always to provide value and service to every client.
John, Maureen and the staff of Riverdale Manor continually create new ideas, seek new trends and find new ways to keep every event at Riverdale Manor as fresh as the food. Food is locally sourced when it makes sense, our organic kitchen garden and greenhouse for herbs and accents grows ever larger, our staff is constantly trained in food preparation and service, and we travel as often as possible to see what new food preparation and presentation ideas are developing in cities around the country.
